Heyhey friends!
I don’t really know what to say about this – these guys appeared (they have LOTS of friends) during a drawing session the other day and I think they are really cute – I had to post this fairly early elk-draft since I read this interesting article today about posers vs creators, posers sit around and talk about their work, while creators produce stuff and publish it, so here ya go a taste of my new little guys, the folk-elks !

Well, this is not as inspirational as it is funny, but it sure is funny..it’s Devin Townsend from Strapping Young Lad and DTP (Devin townsend project) and also Steve Vai (Yes, true, see the last clip 
)
He is making an instructional video for guitar, but it’s more of a stand up act..
Devin is a modern musician, although he has been around a while, I like his sane and fresh approach to music and especially the guitar, enjoy!

I ventured out in Oslo yesterday, looking for a good place to eat – and I stumbled upon “Eger” which is a cafe that serves alot of raw food. I tried the “raw stew” (pictured below) together with a green smoothie and it was super great! They have a bunch of other raw dishes and also raw desserts – for me it was perfect, only 5 mins walk from the hotel and it gives you tons of energy instead of the usual food coma..

Ahh, it sure was a holy night yesterday – the objects of worship being the guys in BCC
Overall I am very happy with their show which according to Glenn Hughes is “real shit” (I agree!) – Glenn is a very interesting fellow that reminds me alot of an early Mariah Carey (Stay with me here..) – Mariah, in the beginning of her career, always used her voice to the max all through her show, a bit like Glenn Hughes does – full on from the start, aural and visual alike - A tip to Glenn would be to learn from Mariah and be a bit more dynamic in his overall appearance
Joe Bonamassa can get away with almost anything because of his baby smooth suit looks and his killer guitar playing, so despite being overshadowed visually by the great Glenn he still manages to steal the attention lots of the time!
Bonham and Sheridian are also great musicians but add nothing special in this context, in fact I am a bit disappointed since I have heard so much good about them both – But they definately add to the image of the band which has to account for something..
This was the second last gig on the BCC tour for this time around…If they manage to stay together as a group and come back once more I will definitely come see them again, thanks guys for a nice evening!

Look at this recycle-majig i found yesterday while waiting for my friend Espi!
I get happy when I see that there are people working with finding solutions like this – I usually put empty cans somewhere visible because I know that they will be picked up by someone who needs the extra 1SEK – although i think that these recycle cylinders are maintained – it’s also a place for can collectors to frequent – either way it’s great!

I heard about these babies called “soap nuts” a while back and went out and bought them – apparently they can be used for a number of things, washing your clothes, washing your car, shampoo, kitchen detergent etc..
It contains Saponin, which is the ingredient that cleans – apparently this ingredient is something that was widely used before our “new” detergents arrived – it can also be extracted from soapclove!
Totally recycleable FTW, and yes the clothes get clean

I just stumbled upon this cool web host called FatCow – and guess what, they are completely wind powered
On top of that they seem to be having nice features as well, they offer a Shopping cart, credit card processing and other nice fetaures..go FatCow!
