Dragons are everywhere!

There is something about drawing dragons in the art world – what is the symbolism?

The combination of a dragon with a lightly dressed female warrior is classic, some say that the dragon symbolizes society and the woman fights for a more equal role in it…others might say that the dragon is a big penis (like Freud).
Anyhow, this little dragon friend is up to nothing like that, his worst deed is maybe a prank call once in a while. I call him Castor!

Zombie Shitler

Sometimes my sling fingers works in mysterious ways – I was scribbling one day and various characters came out – amongst others, this  fellow, which can be described only as a fat, suburban 70’s zombie hitler fellow, short “SHitler”. In an alternative reality, Hitler probably survived that bunker and settled in west sussex, where he quietly stayed around until the great zombie apocalypse of 1972 – and the rest as we say, is history (?)

Before/after – quickdrawing of a steam punk snake

Hey hey! Sling Fingers here again with a new drawing. This time it’s a snake of some sort that i decided to turn into a steam punk logo – maybe for a band 🙂

As you can see the original drawing is kind of crude – before going to bed I sometimes scribble stuff on paper, this is one of those doodles! I have been working with Illustrator and Photoshop for this, in PS I only added some filtering and shading to add depth to the painting – the rest of the work is done using Illustrator – the image is fully scalable since it’s all vectors – I imagine this being the back drop for a metal band 5×10 meters wide 🙂

SlingFingers on the banjo!

I never thought that i would ever touch the banjo, so much inbreeding cramped up into one instrument… but sometimes it is required to sacrifice one self and one’s ego for the sake of art!

We in the professional funhavers jammed together on this song and it became painfully clear that a banjo was required. We borrowed an old banjo from a friend that had found it in a dumpster a couple of years back. It fit right into the song 🙂

We had so much fun recording this song, and even more recording this video I’m about to show you – I hope you enjoy it!
